What Is Editing Lock?
Introduced with the Acceptiva WYSIWYG form editor in the Client Manager, editing lock is a function that keeps multiple people from editing a form at the same time, avoiding conflicting edits.
When you click the edit icon for a form in the Forms Summary list, the Form Editor will open. This initiates an editing lock for the form. Any other user that clicks the edit icon for the form will not be able to edit. Instead, they will be prompted to either to cancel or to view the form without making edits. Account owners will have the option to discard previous changes and take over the editing process, transferring the editing lock to their own account. Account owners can not cancel the editing lock of another account owner.
To end the editing lock on the form, you can either discard your work by clicking the black X in the upper left corner of the editor, or by saving all your changes and ending the editing session.
