Filtering Reports

The results returned in in Acceptiva Client Manager reports can be narrowed down by adding filters to data columns.  Blue filter icons  are located next to the headers of columns whose data is filterable.  Clicking the icon will open a modal with options to create the filter.

Types of Filters

There are four filter types depending on the type of data present in the column.  For columns where the data can only be one of two options (for example, “Success” or “Failure” in the Status column), the filter modal will display the two options as radio buttons, one of which can be selected.

For columns with multiple set data options (such as the Payment Type column) the data will be presented as checkboxes, so the user can select multiple options to be included in the column.  Data options that have data populated in the report will appear bolded in the filter modal (for example, observe the “CC Type” column).

Filters for columns that have payer-entered text data (such as the First Name column) provide a drop down list where options can be chosen to specify that the desired data either “Contains, “Starts with”, or “Ends with” text that can be specified by the user.

Columns containing numerical data (such as the Amount column) similarly provide a drop-down list with filter options.  The options for numerical data are “Is Less Than”, “Is Less Than or Equal Too”, “Equals”, “Is Greater Than or Equal To”, and “Is Greater Than” the user-entered value.

Using Filters

Clicking the “Apply Filter” button on the filter modal saves the filter settings and refreshes the report to display data according to the filter rules. Once a filter has been added to a column, the filter icon will be changed from blue to red.  Clicking on the red filter icon will display the filter modal with an additional “Remove Filter” button.

Above the report table is the “List Active Filters” button.  Clicking this button will open a modal where a summary of all filters that have been applied to the report.  Next to the “List Active Filters” button is the “Reset Filters” button.  This button displays a number in parentheses which indicates the number of filters that has been applied.  Clicking this button will remove all applied filters from the report.
