Giving Permission to Perform Refunds

If a user does not have permission to perform refunds, they must be granted this permission by an account owner. They will know they do not have permission to perform the refund if the 'Refund' and 'Partial Refund' buttons do not show up on the transaction details modal for a settled transaction.

To Give a User Permission to Perform Refunds:

1
Navigate to the Users List from the Main Menu by accessing Organization > Account Management > Users. Click the Edit icon for the user you wish to edit.
2
On the user's profile screen, scroll down to the "Edit Permissions" section. Click to the "Form" tab.
3
Open the Drop down menu and select the form for which you want to edit permissions OR click "See all form permissions" above the form drop down list.
4
A table will appear showing the user's permissions settings. Check the green circle checkbox for "Void and Refund." Note that the availability of this permission is dependent on "View Transactions" being assigned. If "View Transactions" is not assigned, then "Void and Refund" will be grayed out.
5
The changes are updated in real time, so as soon as the green permission checkbox is selected, that user will have permission to issue refunds for transactions processed through the selected form.
